EQ Tower honoured at Asia Pacific Property Awards

Meinhardt Australia’s building services team worked closely with architects Elenberg Fraser and project managers Sinclair Brook for our client ICD Property on the acclaimed mixed use development that reached practical completion in May.

Eq. Tower has won the Best Residential High Rise Architecture award as well as recognition for Residential High Rise Development and Residential High Rise Architecture Australia. The award ceremony was held in Bangkok on Friday 26th May.

The Asia Pacific Property Awards is one of the most well regarded of the region. Entrants are judged by an independent panel of 70 industry experts where the winning project excelling in areas of design, quality, service, innovation, originality and commitment to sustainability.

Eq. Tower sits in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD and epitomises the vision of joint partners ICD Property and Sino-Ocean Land to provide state-of-the-art high-rise apartments that appeal to both local and international markets. The apartments are complemented by the ground level landway retail and communal amenities. 80% of apartments over 65 levels were sold in less than 240 days marking record-breaking sales.

The Green Star project reached practical completion a full 5 months earlier than projected, a great achievement by Sinclair Brook and Multiplex. Elenberg Fraser used parametric design to develop the façade system that maximises the delivery of natural light to all living and bedroom spaces.

The development is in the running to be put forward for re-judging against winners of other regions of the world for the International Property Awards to be held in London in December 2017.
