661 Chapel Street, South Yarra
Meinhardt carried out landscape architecture and planning services for this 25 storey development in the Forest Hill precinct in South Yarra. The development provides a mix of apartments and retail uses on the ground floor which will activate this stretch of Chapel Street.
The landscape concept extends the boulevard treatment already established of plane trees on Chapel Street and addresses the entry to the buildings by creating a green porte-cochere with green wall, canopy trees and attractive groundcover planting featuring a variety of textures and colours.
Balconies and roof top spaces will also be landscaped with hardy species of contrasting texture, foliage and colour.
