Silverwoods is an iconic residential and recreational development occupying 160 hectares on the bank of Lake Mulwala. The development provides a Thomson Perrett designed championship golf course, clubhouse, hotel and serviced apartments.

This has been a challenging site, Meinhardt needed to achieve maximum yield for the client and also meet stakeholder requirements. Situated on an essentially flat, parcel of land, we have moved 1.5 million cubic metres of earth to lower the golf course and elevate the residential element and provide essential flood relief. While for the golf course we have devised an innovative irrigation reservoir linked to the Murray to provide an essential, assured water supply all year.

Meinhardt prepared the site master plan to take into account the sensitive environmental issues and undertook detailed design, documentation and construction management of the civil infrastructure for the residential and golf elements.
