Denis will have overall responsibility and authority to manage the Australian operations whilst co-ordinating policies, decisions and financial matters with the Group. “These are challenging times in Australia, but there are also many opportunities,” said Denis. “I look forward to working with the rest of the management team to continue to build on our many successes.” “We have many exciting projects in construction, including some of Melbourne’s most significant skyscrapers, as well as Darwin’s tallest tower, and many significant buildings in design, including the new Australian International School in Jakarta.“ “We will continue to diversify our operations, with our land development, infrastructure and environment teams capitalizing on more optimistic markets, and also explore other appropriate opportunities, as we continue the evolution of the business going forwards.” “Denis’ appointment is aptly deserved and we look forward to him playing a proactive role in the development of our Australian business,” said Dr Nasim Shahzad, Meinhart’s Group Executive Chairman.
