Boral Western Landfill Cells 2L and 2M
Meinhardt were engaged to design 2 cells as part of the successful strategic masterplan Meinhardt had already delivered.
Key to this is design and documentation to BPEM (2010) the new standards of compliance for landfills. Only recently introduced, this has challenged the industry to adjust.
The designs incorporate compacted clay liner, HDPE geomembrane and GCL to contain the leachate. These have all been successfully assessed and approved by the environmental auditor.
